Stellenbosch Wine Route Accommodation:
Stellenbosch is the main wine growing region and centre of the
wine industry in South Africa, also housing the University of
Stellenbosch.
It is the oldest and most popular of the wine routes. Many of
the estates are very old with their gabled white washed Cape Dutch
homesteads and rolling vineyards.
Within a 15km radius of the town centre, many estates and wineries
offer tours and wine tasting, often accompanied by ‘vinter’s
platters’ or country style meals.
Paarl Wine Route Accommodation:
Though smaller than the better known Stellenbosch area, covers
the full spectrum of wine estates.
Franschhoek Wine Route Accommodation:
A small picturesque wine growing region encompassed on three
sides by towering mountains.
The original estates, many with world renowned names (the original
names originating from their first Huguenot owners who migrated
from France in 1688).
Franschhoek is also well known for it’s intimate restaurants,
bistros, antique and art shops.
