Description:Wavecrest is located overlooking the Nxaxo river estury where it meets the ocean. With views of the sandy beach which go on forever.
Wavecrest's newly refurbished accommodation is clean, comfortable and functional. It is simple enough however, to make guests feel relaxed about coming home barefoot from the beach.
The island style bungalows and rondavels are set in manicured lawns and gardens, many of which enjoy the most stunning views of the sea and estuary. The family suites and double room accommodation each have an en suite bath or shower room with an abundance of steaming hot water.
The family restaurant serves all meals.
Activities:
Fishing: Rock, surf, estuarine, riverine, fly or deep-sea. Our strict regulation of this activity is now rewarding anglers with excellent catches.
Swimming: Surf, estuary or pool. Swimming is absolutely safe as long as you stay clear of the mouth on an outgoing tide, in which event passports.
Boat Rides: Bird cruises, booze cruises, and educational interludes are conducted regularly on the estuary. Rubber duck rides are available for trips to sea, where guests may have the opportunity to spot whales, turtles or seals, or swim with the dolphins.
Overland: Open landrover safaris to Kobenqaba mouth, to the waterfall, to community villages, or to local historic sites.
Sports: Volleyball, beach cricket, touch rugby, beach Olympics, target golf, sea skiing, and squash. Competitions are arranged in season or on request.
We have a brand new all weather tennis court. Racquets and balls are provided.
Mountain bikes are available.
Horse Riding: Well-schooled horses are available by arrangement to explore the magnificent trails.
