Trout River Falls, a new uniquely developed trout fishing country estate will allow you to experience a touch of magic amongst the misty mountains of the Steenkampsberg in Mpumalanga with its beautiful surroundings, bird life and awe-inspiring waterfall.

There are 5 well-stocked natural feeding dams, and a 2km stretch of the Dorpsriver that offer excellent fly-fishing opportunities for young and old.

Trout River Falls provide four star luxury accommodation that include 8-2 bed chalets with on-suite bathrooms that are elegantly decorated to provide ultimate comfort and relaxation to our guests.

Spectacular views of the Poplar Trees, our natural trout fishing dams, indigenous forests and mountains can be enjoyed from the wooden veranda of each chalet.

Our chalets are fully equipped including satellite TV, Fireplace, Mini-bar, Coffee and Tea and private braai facilities adjoining to each chalet. Chalets are serviced daily and ensure that guests are completely rested upon returning home.

The restaurant and teagarden offers a superb South African cuisine with international presentation and standards. An excellent South African vintage wine list compliments our excellent cuisine.

Breakfast and lunch can be served in the dining room or outside in the tea garden overlooking the beautiful surroundings. Light meals and refreshments are available at any time during the day, and served with the compliments of our qualified waiters and distinguished chef.

BELFAST
At 2025 metres above sea level this is one of the coldest places in the country. The Tulip festival takes place annually.

DULLSTROOM
Has the highest train station, geographically, in the country and is one of the coldest places in SA.
This idyllic little town is 30km from Trout River Falls, and is a major tourist attraction with its country shops, hot air ballooning, the birds of prey centre, horse riding, a hand weaving centre, Flights over the area and restaurants.

LYDENBURG (town of suffering)
The Lydenburg museum where you can see replicas of the Iron Age clay masks found in the area. (the originals are in the Cape Town Museum). Play Golf at the Lydenburg Golf Course

Near our Farm
Horse riding at the Coromandel estate. Take a drive through the Kwena basin. Take the scenic Long Tom pass to Sabie, pass the Highest point in the area at 2150metres above sea level, visit the Mac Mac falls, as well as 5 falls in the area, get to Graskop and walk to Gods Window, see the Blyde River Canoyn. continue on to Pilgrims Rest, (120km from TRF) then drive back on the R533 to Trout River Falls, ready to go fishing in the early evening.

Take a stroll around the estate at night. It is completely safe and the whole area is illuminated, even the rock faces.
