Description:Kwelanga Country Retreat is a genuine African style get-away set on the lush green hills with a stunning view on the ocean just south of George. The lodge gives the feeling of a mini game reserve with Springbuck, Bluewildebeest and Bontebok roaming around freely on the Kwelanga premises.
Decorated in traditional African Bushveld theme, the accommodation consists of 8 newly renovated chalets, each with individual terrace on the breath-taking sea view. Each chalet is of excellent standard, sleeps between 2 – 6 people and has full self-catering facilities. (34 beds in total.)
Kwelanga also offers a cosy bar and an excellent restaurant, Ukutuya Restaurant @ Ove`s. Our resident chef offers an amazing menu of tastefully prepared cuisine - ranging from tender venison steaks over crunchy salads with locally grown vegetables to delicious crumbed calamari.
Sip your Aperitif on the terrace while viewing the sunset over Mossel Bay, thereafter enjoy a delicious dinner by the fireplace, inside or outside!
Situated 5 km outside George, Kwelanga Country Retreat is an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of the Garden Route. Rock fishing and whale watching (when they are visiting our shores) are within walking distance.
