Naturally merged into the pristine landscape, each lodge exudes a traditional African charm with all the modern comforts surrounded by the mesmerizing sounds and fragrances of the beautiful bush. Towering above the natural splendour and wonder of God’s gift each of Kwantu’s exquisite lodges are equipped with a charming fireplace, under-floor heating, air-conditioning, multi-channel television, electronic safe, refrigerator, hairdryer, tea-coffee making facilities as well as a therapeutic Spa Bath.

Kwantu Private Game Reserve offers newly weds a honeymoon to remember. Kwantu’s Honeymooner’s Lodge, with a queen size bed and en suite bathroom open on to personal decks ensuring complete peace and privacy during your honeymoon. This suite is equipped with a fireplace, under-floor heating, air-conditioning, multi-channel television, electronic safe, refrigerator, hairdryer, tea-coffee making facilities and a Jacuzzi.

Summers at Kwantu are wonderfully warm during the day and night. Guests may feel free to bring along their binoculars and camera’s to capture reminiscent moments. A pair of binoculars may be arranged at the Day Centre. For walking safaris, make sure you have long durable pants and socks and a good pair of hiking boots.

In winter Kwantu generally has a moderate climate, evenings tend to get a bit chilly, but the warm glow alone of the controlled fires at the day centre is enough to warm the chill out of the air. Blankets are provided on canvas roof covered vehicles for your game drives.


A casual outfit may be enjoyed, and again should the weather change, and temperature fall, blankets and majestic fires will warm the soul. Jackets are recommended.
