The Cape Region around Somerset West is one of the exceptional and most varied area in the world !!
Mediterranean climate, wonderful summer with minimum on rainfall. A fresh sea breeze makes hot summer days with over 30 degrees comfortable. Even on sunny winter days the temperature rises up to over 20 degrees.
Through out the whole year the nature shows all the abundance of colour and perfection. Especially from September to October the spring flowers seem to explode in a firework of colour.
There are many botanical gardens, nature reserves with hundreds of different Erica and Protea, with lots of bird viewing.
Small and big national parks and overwhelming mountains like the Table Mountain with it?s tablecloth or the Twelve Apostles and the Cedarberg.
From Khasha Mongo it is easy to reach not only the West Coast or Cape Agulhas ? the most southerly point of Africa, even the Garden Route and many many other interesting excursions can be made.
It is only 35 Min. drive to Cape Town - the Mother City ? and it?s surrounds with many of historical and culture attractions.
In and around Somerset West start beautiful wine routes. Visiting one of the old historical wine farms with their beautiful Cape Dutch styled houses is almost a must.
