Description:This is one of the oldest and largest country inns in South Africa. Original beamed ceilings, roaring fires, quaint rooms, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. All the ambience of a bygone era.
There are 50 beautifully appointed rooms. Of these rooms, 10 are family rooms and 40 are double rooms sleeping a total of 120 guests per night.
All rooms offer en-suite bathrooms, TV (with 10 channels DSTV) , telephone and most have a fire place & a balcony.
Facilities: 2 swimming pools, Squash court, Tennis court, Snooker, Pool, Darts, Trampoline, Putt-putt, Beach Volley ball, Hiking trail, ect…
Sitting rooms, patios which look out over the grounds down to a trickling stream and duck pond.
In house restaurant well worth visiting during the weekend. Situated 300 metres off the N2, Cape Town side of the Houwhoek Pass (children welcome).
Our A La Carte (Monday to Sunday) restaurant seats 100 persons, with set menus, also for Saturdays and Sundays. We also have country home cooking with traditional Sunday lunches. And on Saturday nights, we have dinner dances.
