Description:Florence Guest Farm is set high up on the northern grass and wetlands of Mpumalanga. Sandstone farmhouse with two sandstone guest cottages and open-hearth fireplaces. Florence is a working organic farm in the Lake District.
You are guaranteed a memorable stay with Nico and Ane their happy family.

The Sandstone Cottage:

Garden:
Private garden with garden furniture and braai facility. Guests must provide own charcoal.
View:
From the braai area you will have a view over one of the lakes.
The Rondavel:
The interior has received a complete makeover, creating an eclectic feel. The rondavel has the best view from your bed and sleeping in front of the fireplace is a real treat.
Though the rondavel is situated just next to the main house, it is completely private.

The Waenhuis Cottage:
This charming cottage, with its spacious interior, has a unique country feel.
The beautiful front door was previously the front door of Chrissiesmeer Town Hall.

Only one single bed.

Living room with big sandstone fireplace, two comfortable chairs and a sleeper couch that makes a double bed, TV and table with four chairs.

Fully equipped for 8 persons. Fridge, microwave, gas stove, grocery cupboard.

Stoep around the cottage. Garden furniture and a braai facility. Guests must provide own charcoal.
View:
From your bed and from the stoep area you will have a beautiful view over the lake.
Zebra Room:
The room, complemented by the wooden floor and zebra paint technique, has an African feel. Foreigners, in particular, enjoy its charm.
This room is part of the main house, but has a private entrance.

Our dining and conference room offers an exclusive venue with fireplaces and a view on one of the lakes. Here you can enjoy full catering services with wonderful country cooking while closing business deals.
Some of the things which guests can do are 4 X 4 Drives, sailing, fishing, horse riding, hiking (while hiking you can have a look at the Bushman Paintings), bird watching and cycling.
The village is known for its many guest houses, a lodge and outdoor activities such as, horse-riding, mountain biking, hiking and picnicking on the banks of Lake Chrissie.
Wild flower day is in January.
