Description:The Manor House: A combination of Olde Worlde charm and contemporary luxuries is what makes the Fancourt Hotel so distinctive. At Fancourt, guests can choose between a room in the beautifully restored Manor House or one of the stately Garden Suites and Studios. Whatever your choice, we can guarantee your holiday or business stay will be most memorable.
At the Manor House, you will find a restful haven in a building with a history dating back to the beginning of the 19th century: in 1847 Henry Fancourt White established a workers' base at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains for the construction of the Montagu Pass. Now a National Monument, the Manor House with its 34 bedrooms is situated in a wooded parkland and is the perfect base for your leisure or conference activities.

Glentana, stunningly poised high above the Indian Ocean, offers the ultimate in seclusion, privacy - and luxury, only 30 minutes from Fancourt. Self-Catering Sleeps 2 persons
Looking for total anonymity? Glentana, a romantic timber lodge on 43 remote hectares on the ocean's edge with only birds and the surge of the waves breaking the silence, is the perfect escape.
Perched on the clifftop between Glentana beach and the Maalgate River on the rugged Garden Route coastline, Glentana maintains Fancourt's world-renowned standards of excellence and symbolizes the vision of its owners Sabine and Hasso Plattner to add exciting new dimensions to tourism in South Africa.
In contrast to the rough terrain the lodge is relaxing and very comfortable. Blue dominates in the elegant decor to reflect the ocean view which extends to the horizon. Picture wall charts remind that dolphins and whales are likely to disport themselves in the waters below.
Designed with more than honeymooners in mind - there is one cosy double bedroom - the spacious proportions of the living area can accommodate one-day executive think tanks for highly private corporate decisions in ultra comfort.
In addition to an extensive lounge, a covered veranda deck with outdoor seating runs along two sides of the building. There are two showers and toilets, a well-equipped kitchen and gas-generated power.
A private, small golden beach is accessed by a wooden stairway of 200 steps.
Fancourt has five fabulous restaurants offering a variety of excellent dining experiences in truly delightful settings.
Whether you're enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner at Fancourt, you can rest assured that each meal has been carefully prepared by our expert chefs, presented by experienced restaurant managers and serving staff and that only the freshest products have been used.
All menus and meals have been approved and carefully planned by Fancourt Executive Chef, Darren Roberts.
The restaurants bear testimony to Fancourt's reputation as purveyors of fine cuisine. From La Cantina's authentic Italian fare and the freshly caught dishes of Le Pêcheur to The Morning Glory's health meals, the modern African cuisine of Sansibar and Bramble Lodge's selected dinner menu of locally-sourced produce, Fancourt's cuisine is a gourmet's delight.
The Members Bar and the Sandwedge (Montagu Halfway House) offer lighter meals for guests on the move. A range of Fancourt Original and Executive Chef's Range products including jams, pasta and sauces are for sale in the Deli.
La Cantina is located in the historic Manor House and serves a buffet breakfast and traditional Italian cuisine in a warm Mediterranean atmosphere.
Le Pêcheur, situated in the main clubhouse, specializes in freshly prepared seafood dishes in a relaxed open-kitchen setting.
Bramble Lodge is located next to The Links Clubhouse and offers relaxed intimate dining of global fusion cuisine - a combination of flavours from the world over, using a variety of spices, herbs, flowers and locally grown produce.
Sansibar is situated in the Manor House and serves modern African cuisine representative of a host of African countries.
Morning Glory overlooks the 1st tee of the Outeniqua Golf Course and serves light healthy meals.
Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate will be delighted to arrange transfers to and from George Airport.
The resort has acquired the luxurious Fancourt Premier lounge at George Airport for the comfort and convenience of guests and members from touchdown to take-off.
Previously reserved for official VIP cardholders, the room, which has been leased from the Airports Company, has been fully refurbished in the elegant Fancourt style.
Guests can sit back and relax and enjoy Fancourt hospitality while waiting for their departure flights.
